I bought these end tables several years ago at a garage sale for just a few dollars. They are not high quality and show multiple gouges and scratches. One of the tables was so bad, I actually just kept it in our storage room. This week, I picked up some sage chalk paint at Menards and today, I transformed them. The beauty of chalk paint is that it is almost impossible to make mistakes. The goal is a distressed look and that is achieved by a little sanding and applying a dark wax. Now I have two tables that I can use in my living room and it added a little color too!
