I am actually looking forward to my 40's. Over the next ten years, all three of my kids will graduate high school. Matthew will hopefully have graduated college by then too! I look forward to all of the activities and events we get to attend but I'm also looking forward to the relaxing times as my children continue to become more independent. Will I still have my blog in ten years? I sure hope so. It's been a great time capsule of the everyday happenings in our lives.

Turning 40
I made this post 10 years ago today. I was reflecting back on my 20's on the eve of my 30th birthday. I felt that it was only fair I do the same thing on the eve of my 40th birthday. I look at our family from ten years ago. Same number of people, but boy have they grown. Ten years ago, I had a 10 month old, a 3 year old and a 5 year old! Now I have two teenagers and a preteen! Crazy! Compared to my twenties, my thirties didn't have near as many life changes, though the ones I did have were significant. We bought a new house, I completely changed careers, got my Master's Degree, we got a new dog, bought a new house and devastatingly, Bobby and I both lost one of our parents. This past year has been, by far, the hardest year of my life.

Happy early over-the-hill birthday, you old bird! Time sure flies.
