Tonight is our annual Jones Family Christmas Party. Though it has crossed our minds to clean throughout the week beforehand, two little boys would make that a waste of effort. Therefore, every year we spend hours on end prior to the party cleaning and organizing to make our house presentable. It's also a good excuse for the house to get a good thorough scrubbing. Interestingly enough, I have seemed to take it one step further this year. I'm guessing it's due to the fact that I'm 8 months pregnant and delivered RJ one week from this point. I must say it feels pretty good to get the laundry room (which nobody will probably see) spotless, even dusting on top of the cabinets. One more thing checked off my list! I took after pics but forgot to do before pics so I apologize for the generic picture accompanying this post.

Guests are the best motivator a person can have. Since its normally just dad and I at home I don't clean as often as I used to. As long as the laundry gets done and there is food on the table the rest of the house doesn't get that bad. Knowing all you kids will be home for our Christmas get together next week though has put the fire under me and I am getting things done slowly but surely. Of course when you all leave it needs to be done again so I wonder if I should just save my strength:) Mom
