What's in a name?

With the boys, naming was easy. We knew what their names were going to be before we even knew they were boys. We even had girl names picked out for them. For RJ, it was Emma. Not long after we decided that, Rachel on Friends had her baby, named her Emma, and the Emma explosion began. MJ was going to be Addison. Once again the television was my nemesis and Dr. Addison Shepherd arrived on Grey's Anatomy and sent the popularity of Addison skyward. We believe that we have this little one's name narrowed down but I'm afraid of admitting it yet. I fully expect a new character to arrive on Wisteria Lane with the name -----. I promise I will reveal in the upcoming weeks.

I think I need to change the name of my blog...

During the ultrasound today, the Perinatologist said "What do you have at home?" I responded with "Two Boys". She said back, "I think this one is going to be different!". I am still pretty shocked to say the least. I asked her if she would paint the room if she was me and she said if it was her she definately would. The first picture, though blurry, is of the legs and the "dangly bits" that are obviously missing unlike with my first two. The second two poor quality pictures are of her hand up by her face. Most importantly she appears perfectly healthy.

28 More Hours

At 1:15 tomorrow I will be having my 20 week ultrasound. I have been counting down for well, almost 20 weeks for this. It will answer the inevitable question: will we have our own version of "My Three Sons" or will we add a little more estrogen to this house of testosterone? I am truly torn. I *want* both scenarios and I think I will be happy with either but there will also be a little pang of sadness that the other will not be. I am sure I'm rambling on at this point. I feel like I did when I was a little kid. I wish I could just go to bed and wake up and it be time to go!

19 Weeks...Almost Half Way!

Mom was pressuring me for a picture so I decided to appease her and post one. This morning I woke up thinking how small I felt. I don't know what is wrong with this darn camera but I really think the wide-angle lens must be on or something. In all honesty, I feel great and the baby seems to be doing well. The *big* ultrasound is in 9 days....anybody counting down with me?

Crawling, the newest way to travel

RJ has been getting better and better at crawling-when prompted or bribed. This morning he took off, on his own, to get something crawling full speed! He was halfway across the living room when I picked my chin up off the floor and decided I should probably get a video of the occasion. You will find it here. I am so proud!

Mommy! A Clue!

Today MJ and I went to Kohls...of course to check out the baby stuff. I hear MJ say "Look Mommy, A Clue!"

I should probably say that MJ needs a 12 step program for his addition to Blue's Clues. For those who have not been so fortunate to see this very educational show, "Blue's Clues" are Blue's (a dog) paw prints that she puts on items to help you figure out what Blue is thinking of.

Blue's Clues is also only in syndication now so it is very rare to find any licensed character stuff at any major retailers. So hearing MJ mention a "clue", it piqued my interest. I look on the ground to find an adorable baby outfit that has a paw print right on the bottom of the seat. I told MJ he was absolutely right and we'd have to remember that to write it in his Handy Dandy Notebook.

Tell me to stop...

Ok, so I have another two weeks before we *hopefully* find out what this little baby bean is. Why is it that there has to be so many great baby clothes sales right now?? Even though I will be very happy to welcome either a baby boy or a baby girl in to this family, I figure these next two weeks may be my last chance to pretend that we may have another female in the house of Jones boys. I bought pretty evenly, and I figure I'll return whatever I don't end up needing. Really, who could pass up taking an additional 50% off of clearance prices combined with a $10 off a $25 purchase coupon. Come on??!!
