I opened up my own account at a local credit union two months ago. I implemented a budget (one of my 2010 resolutions!) November 1st and wanted to have my own account at a different institution than our joint accounts. I have been nothing but impressed with Community America. Not only do they have awesome customer service, they provide fun customer appreciation days, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the lobby and get this- I just won a $100 Hy-Vee gift card in their Twitter contest! Apparently they know the way to my heart is through my stomach!
