With the forecasted frost tonight and the rest of this week, it was recommended I pick the remainder of the tomatoes in my garden and let them ripen inside. It makes me sad to pick them prematurely but I would be much more sad if they were ruined by frost. I did leave the ones that were much smaller (golf ball size and below) on the vine. I'm going to chance covering them with blankets and see if I can get a little more growth out of them.

I have heard you should put them in paper bags or newspaper to help them ripen.
