PCA

Friday we started with a PCA or Personal Care Attendant for RJ.  This is one benefit of the Sarah Lopez Waiver that we were awarded last fall.  A personal care attendant does everything for RJ that I would if I was caring for him, bathing, feeding, tolieting, dressing etc.  This will provide him 1:1 care during the times we designate, all day this summer and currently, a few hours a few days a week.  It's a little odd to have someone working parallel with us in our home but I know in the long run, we will get used to it and it will be a benefit to us and to RJ.
