....that if you plant the base of a stalk of romaine or the roots of green onions after you use them, they will grow back? I read it on Pinterest a little while ago but was skeptical (you know how everything on the Internet is always true). On a whim, after finishing a stalk of romaine, I stuck the base in the garden and to my surprise, it is in fact growing back! The green onions are growing even faster. A fun experiment to try with your kids this summer.
