He opens a window. I was notified yesterday that as part of a nationwide lay off that today would be my last day with my current company. I've been in my current position for almost 7 years and while it will definitely be a change, it presents the opportunity for me to explore a field that I've been longing to for quite a while. My degree is in elementary education and I look forward to pursuing a potential career as a teacher.
I'm going to spend the next few months home with my kids enjoying some quality time with them.

Even though Congratulations aren't necessarily in order I am thrilled you get some time off and hoping your degree in elementary ed finally gets used :) You will make an awesome teacher.
