Good pics! Have to say Awwwww @ Maggie on Richelle's lap :) Thought I'd also ask that you tell Matthew to be sure to read each chapter of his college algebra book, starting from the very beginning, and solve each problem in every section. It's ok to use the back of the book when stumped, but don't gloss over any reading or skip any problems, no matter how tedious it gets.

On a separate note, I think it's time to stop spending large amounts of time programming the calculator. That time is much better spent practicing algebra or learning real computer programming. I recommend that he work in as many algebra problems as he can while doing family travel or at sister's softball games, etc, just like he's been doing with the calculator programming. If he does that at the rate he's been learning the calculator stuff, he'll be ready for geometry/trig and then calculus before he knows it.
