Mother's Day: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

The Good:

I woke up to a super fun scavenger hunt put on by Molly.  My ending prize was a beautiful basket filled with a candle, candy and a gift card to our new coffee shop in town.

Ryan gave me a very pretty plate he made at school.

I spent time buying plants and filling up my decorative outdoor pots.

The softball girls surprised their moms with flowers and sweet notes to give to us after the game.

The Bad:

We lost said game and my daughter pitched maybe her worst game ever (hey-it happens).

I got nailed in the calf by a mis-thrown ball.

Bobby lost the key fob to his car.

Matthew has a big project due tomorrow that he really needs to do well on.  I've reminded him all weekend and ever the procrastinator, he's starting right about now (8:40 p.m.)

The Ugly:

I miss my mom every day but super extra today.  It doesn't help that we are coming up on the three year anniversary of her passing this week.  Emotions ran high and there were lots of tears.

Rough week it sounds like.. Molly will always continue to get better, despite setbacks, nothing to worry about there, she's wonderful at everything she does. Matthew will be fine, whether or not he submits his assignments on time, though it helps if he does of course. Mom and losing her shouild be kept in the past, and you should focus on the present or in some cases maybe on the future. It's all about moving forward and adapting..
