2025 Resolutions

2024 Resolutions-Revisted
1) Grocery Budget. Set an amount and STICK TO IT
Boo---still not great. I am a bargain shopper by trade. I shop at Aldi primarily but I could for sure do better. I just got a cash envelope system so I'm going to experiment with that.
2) Eat at restaurants less. We've gotten a little lazy. We used to rarely eat at restaurants and though we don't go out as a whole family often, now that the kids are older Bobby and I find ourselves going out more.
I don't eat out as often as my husband does. I bring my lunch every day to work but it's typically when we are busy with kids' activities that we find ourselves eating out for convenience.
3) Read an average of 2 adult books/month
I read several this year...didn't reach my average though. Summer is my big reading time. Trying to make a better run at it this year.
4) Unplug more-I don't have TikTok but I do find myself wasting time on Instagram and Facebook reels
Boo---I think this has gotten worse. Mindless scrolling does relax me. I need to find another (healthier) method of relaxation.
5) Learn a productive new skill
I find that I can do most things I set my mind to, changing my headlights and taillights fixing my microwave, removing our tub faucets, but a new specific skill has not been mastered. I still want to learn how to crochet.
6) Be intentional about exercise.
DID..NOT...HAPPEN

2025 Resolutions
1) Give my cash envelope system a serious shot. I have no plans of using cash for all categories but right now I'm going to try it for: groceries, dining out, shopping, personal and entertainment.
2) Stress less. I have a bad habit of worrying about things that I cannot control...as I'm sure most moms do. I am a type A planner and I don't like it when I can be in control.
3) Join a book club
4) Minimize stuff. I always do a good job of decluttering over Christmas break but I need to continue that through the year.
5) Find a workout rou
tine I can stick to and enjoy.
