Playing Favorites...Not Really

The stocking on the far left is the one I grew up with. My siblings and I all had the same stocking year after year. Wanting to continue the tradition, once we had more than one child, I found a woman on E-Bay who knitted the same stockings that we had as kids. I ordered MJ's and RJ's at the same time. This year I ordered Molly's from a different seller, same stocking right? WRONG! Same pattern, MUCH bigger stocking. Is this going to look ridiculous? How do I explain to the boys why Molly's stocking is so much bigger? Anyone with young siblings knows that Christmas always turns in to a competition!

Product Rave

I've always been a fan of vinyl lettering (if done correctly). I had looked in to Uppercase Living and places like that. They seemed to run fairly pricey and be difficult to apply. I found this set at Hobby Lobby. They were on an end cap and were on sale with the wall decor for 1/2 off! This ended up costing all of $12.50 and I think the phrase fits our family perfectly.
(I know the fall decor is overkill but I didn't want to take it all down since I already had it up)

Is this Heaven? No it's Target!

With all of the illness in our house over this last week, I haven't had the chance to blog about the wonderful Grand Opening that took place last weekend. Our Target has opened down the street from our house! It is not considered a "Super" Target but claims to have 90% of what a "Super" would. Soon to come in the same area: Gap Outlet, Chipotle, Maurices (they're still around?), Lowe's and many more. I think I'm in Heaven!

M.I.A.
You may have been wondering where I have been. It all started with a beautiful drive up to Iowa Friday evening....

Sunday night we returned home around 5:00. By 9:00, MJ was throwing up, by 10:00, I was. RJ woke up sick Monday morning. We thought MJ had made a full recovery as of yesterday but he woke up sick again today. Please keep your fingers crossed that #1: This doesn't last much longer and #2: Molly doesn't get it.

This weekend the kids and I are heading up to Van Buren County's annual Fall Festival. Note the weather forecast above. Brrrr! I have a small problem. Molly doesn't have a coat! She has the adorable one she received for her shower (Thanks Wendy!), but it's still too big. I think I'll be going shopping today. It will be a cold parade this year!

8 Months Old
I can't believe this little girl is 8 months old today. She is army crawling all over the place, eating about 1 1/2 packages of baby food twice a day and loves her Gerber Puffs. She just started waving bye bye and is sleeping like a champ. Molly is filling out her 6-9 month clothes perfectly and I know she will soon be into her 9-12 month ones. Weighing her today, she tops out at 19 lbs on the nose.

Back to my Roots
BEFORE

Literally. Yesterday I had an appointment to get my hair done. I asked my beautician to match my roots and shockingly this is the color! I did this a few years ago and didn't like it. What made me try it again, I'm not sure. It is growing on me this time. Keep in mind that the picture you're seeing is via camera phone and with no makeup. I would love any and all comments. Positive, negative, I'll accept them all. I have a standing appointment in two weeks in case I decide I want to lighten it back up a bit.
