Last week Bobby and I thought that MJ might be ready to do some chores in exchange for a weekly allowance. His duties include: making his bed-when asked, picking up his toys and putting his dishes in the sink. He did a great job and earned his $4 on Sunday. He heard the ice cream truck tonight and wanted to use once of his dollars to buy a treat. I offered to make him a *free* ice cream cone at home. He opted for the ice cream truck. I think we have some lessons in savings ahead of us.
